I saw signs of this a couple weeks ago when the 3 people I know who work there all out their homes for sale.

Not good. Looks like CT more jobs to Boston.

I was looking at Realtor.com for homes in Weston. They provide the property history. It is not unusual for a property that sold for $1,500,000 in 2006 to now be listed for $999,000. Or properties listed for what they sold for in 2001. And this is Weston. Things are not looking good just about everywhere in CT.

Some parts and companies are doing well like Pratt and some hedge funds that received money and if the defense bills go through EB will be full steam ahead which are all good signs.

The next major companies to watch for an exit is Xerox. They recently split into two companies and one of the companines has already said they are relocating that division to New Jersey.

2006 was the height and pinnacle of the RE market on a national level and an anomoly. We'll never see those prices again. Market has since corrected. $900K sounds about right for Weston.

I'm always confused when companies relocate from CT to another expensive state. What does NJ offer that CT doesn't?

NJ is easier commute to NYC and Center City Philly, Jersey shore, bit more to do in NJ than CT

Can't imagine proximity to NYC is that big of a deal considering they're just in Norwalk now... and if that's their concern, why not just move to Stamford. To move an HQ seems like a financial move, for tax reasons.
