I agree. Even now CT is doing very well, can't wait to see how all the good we are doing now will pay off. Hartford will defiantly be a world class city in a couple years.

FFC is already world class so when Hartford becomes that CT will be a major player and rival such cities as Austin and Charlotte.

Had to come down 91 through Hartford a few Monday evenings ago. What an epic disaster the traffic was. Had to take some other route, then the Berlin turmpike to get around it all. Can't imagine how people who live in the Hartfod area have to deal with that. Glad I don't live there.

Hartford has been a world class city since the Yard Goats stadium was built. It's the 8th wonder of the world .

The design is terrible. Worthless HOV lane leads to the entrance to Riverside Park ?

The HOV lane should have been combined with another lane as an Express Lane that bypasses the local City exits along 84 West. It could have emerged near the stack . Since a beltway was never built, this would have been a possible solution.

Right now all 91 South traffic that wants to go 84 West has to merge right to one single lane . Great view of the new Ball Park though as one is sitting there waiting.

That's Dunkin' Donuts Parc. With the letters in "parc" transposed.

I'll take a jelly stick, pleeeeze.

I'm not sure how you achieve critical mass with a Downtown North mixed use space project. The closest thing to it is Baltimore Inner Harbor. That has an MLB ballpark, an NFL team, a top-10 university at Johns Hopkins, it sits on the Northeast Corridor Amtrak line, it has a major hub airport 5 miles away at BWI. To make Downtown North viable, you have to get 10,000 college educated professional/white collar workers to want to live there. If there were high speed rail so you could zip to Manhattan in an hour, maybe. A long-term plan to move all of UConn there including things like the medical school there might do it.
