Greenwich Avenue must have been having sidewalk sales today. My husband said "there's no recession in Greenwich". This was shopping with wild abandon with NO THOUGHT to the price tag whatsoever.
Not only do we lead the nation in disposable income, we also lead the nation in the disposing of it, and fast, as fast as it comes in.
It's unreal what people are capable of in CT.

Retail sales are up, but the amount of goods purchased are actually down. Why? Inflation.

Clothes, cars, shoes, fine dining, vacation, boats, private schools, season tickets, golf, tennis, travel ball, catered gatherings and anything else they can possibly think of and as fast as humanly possible. Hope this helps.

That’s correct. Disposable Income is the amount of money a person has leftover after paying the essentials of living. As we’ve talked about on this forum a number of times before, Connecticut is No. 1 for it even when taxes are considered. That’s pretty significant. Jay

I’m looking for a ranking that shows CT ranks #1 in disposable income but can only find data from 2014. Anything more recent?
