Wordin Ave, Orland Street (near the Wendys, McDonalds, whatever it is), Burr St, Andover Rd, I am not a fan of the Stop & Shop there, etc. On the other hand, parts by Black Rock Boat and Beach area is lovely! The walking trail is fun to walk on; I take my dog there sometimes.

Harborview Ave, Lake Ave to St Mary by sea that tiny area will have people think they are in Fairfield.

What? Google streetview can't pinpoint the Waterbury/Derby border for you?

I rarely go into office supply stores, but I recently went into the ffld staples. It was slammed at dinner time midweek . I asked the girl at the register; she said they have been really busy since the bridgeport store closed. As for why Fairfield, as been said here before- it's the last good stop for a somewhat bearable commute to nyc. Add to that a good public school system, in a relative low crime town- Fairfield is a good pick.
