Some of the space can be reclaimed if made into housing.

Malls are dying. I personally hate them, and I think a lot of people in my generation (older Millenial) and younger have a distaste for them too.

Fine by me. I am an old millennial and I would be perfectly happy if Danbury and Westfarms were the only two malls in CT. I have no use for any of the others

I was at the Bridgeport Mall saturday for the first time in ages. The place was jam packed rim to rim and took some time to find parking.

I don't know about millenials but I do know a lot of women/moms/stay home moms in my hood that are chomping at the bit for this place to open.

No where to shop in Bridgeport and nothing much to do everyone flee to Trumbull Mall or Milford Mall

With the Norwalk Mall, if they can get a gym to sign on along with some type of grocery/healthy food place then it'll give the mall a bit more of a daily drop-in appeal instead of a once a week, every other week, or once a month type of place.
