Hey all. JBenton how did you pick Conneticut? I'm an English teacher who has lived in Santa Cruz Ca for 12 years and I cant land a job. I'm also single and it feels HOPELESS to meet a quality guy here. How did you meet you husband? Does anyone know if there are teaching jobs there and how hard it is to transfer credentials?

I am a CA native and have been trying to get to CT for a few years now. I live in Orange County and can't wait to get out of this madness. We are still waiting for an employment opportunity but haven't given up hope. We have family in Stratford and friends in Darien so will probably settle somewhere in between.
It's interesting to see other Californians who have made the trek across the nation. I have been in love with the east coast since I was in my teens.
Hoping to make it back there soon!
