I thought this article really summarizes some of the newer residential developments being built in downtown Hartford. It appears 777 Main Street is doing very well with already leasing about 50% of the apartments there in the last couple of months at kind of high rents. I also liked seeing some of the amenities being offered. Nice to see that the rental market in downtown is so strong since it really has been untested in the past. Jay

Apartments are filling up fairly quickly at 777 Main, which is surprising at the rent they ask. It isn't far off from the prices at Hartford 21, which is a "better" building (nicer finishes, better amenities, etc.).

"Downtown Hartford's newest rents range from $1,450 a month for a one-bedroom, with a single parking space included, at The Grand on Ann Street to $2,400 and up for a two-bedroom unit with sweeping downtown views at Spectra Boutique Apartments, overlooking Constitution Plaza."

$1450 for a one bedroom in Hartford is quite expensive, I'd hope they would have great amenities paying that much to live there

Looks like New York investor Shelborne Global Solutions is bullish on downtown Hartford. In addition to the Stilts Building and 100 Pearl, they appear to be the buyers of the Gold Building as well. I guess they view these properties as bargains compared to similar properties in Boston or New York so they are snapping them up and investing in upgrades. Will be interesting to see if they can fill the empty space in them. The Gold Building is the headquarters of UTC which recently announced that they are moving to a non-descript suburban office building in Farmington. Jay

Geez their buying everything. I'd like to see how they'll try and get UTC's old space to be occupied.

Does anyone know where I can find the tenants in each of Hartford's office buildings? Either that or a list of all the companies that have a presence in downtown Hartford.

No public database online for such information. Maybe town hall.
