I saw this thread and decided to put my feeder out. There was a ruby-throated hummingbird there within 3 hours. It's amazing how quickly they find the feeders!

Is the spring season still on for hummingbirds. Just put my feeder out for the first time in stamford in my balcony. I looked for the migratory map online and they suggest around first week of May. Hoping will catch any stragglers or some hummingbird lazy like me.

I've had mine out for about a week. Nothing yet that I've seen. I don't know if it's weather related or not.

I put two out over the weekend and haven't seen anything. Then again, it's been raining.

It's been a slow hummingbird year for me! I have 3 feeders in different areas and plenty of flowers. Last night I saw my first male ruby-throat in the side yard.

The hummingbirds buzz us if the feeders are empty

According to the hummingbird migration map, they have arrived in CT already. We've had the feeder filled and out for a few weeks, but no birdies yet. By some miracle, we kept that Dipladenia red trumpet flower plant alive all winter, and it's out, but it doesn't have any flowers right now. I hope they fine the feeder soon!

I see from my past posts that mine usually arrive in early May. We're ready for you, birdie!
