I just learned today that Ned Lamont will be the nominee! And he received much, much more votes in yesterday's primary than all Republicans combined! I'm so happy for CT to have a soon to be truly progressive Democrat to replace Malloy. It's the right direction for the state to go. I'm especially excited about his proposed gun reform laws, such as requiring all currently owned assault rifles and magazines to be registered with the state. And the full out ban on assault weapons and bump stocks, and registered database of those who are not allowed to have a gun!

I trust the people of CT to vote 100% blue in November. Practically all of my CT friends plan to do so! I'll be watching from Florida!

Lamont has a very solid platform. I am delighted to learn that he's the nominee. All of my friends in CT will be voting for him and I'm excited to see the outcome. I especially love his platform on gun control, which needs to be further enhanced in CT.

We will continue having terrible economic growth while the nation thrives.

We will lose more corp hqs. Lose more residents to state-state migration.

Actually, as of 2017, CT stopped losing population. There was a gain of 499 people. So I think things are changing for the better in CT. Regardless, I have decided to stay in FL permanently, but will be voting 100% blue in November here.

Good decision. You have a solid job in Florida.

Basically, I have decided to let go of the idea of ever attempting to move back to CT and just buy a house here soon. Six months of job searching leading to nothing is very telling. And the fact that my prior job in CT laid me off just goes to show that it wasn't even a secure job anyway. And my attempt back in 2014 while I was living in FFC to look for a job in the Hartford area was unsuccessful. So why should I even bother expecting that it will likely work out in the future? For me, CT is unreliable for employment. I simply can't count on it.

So, Jacksonville for life it is.

Blue states do have a habit of disappointing us regular folk.
Good luck in Florida. Glad to hear you landed a good job

Lamont is a trust fund baby, this is all ego for him.
He is out of his element

Think Oz and Monte is the best choice. Focused on lowering taxes, not much State Government overreach, middle of the road approach in regards to the 2nd Amendment, focused on reforming education & bringing trade schools back, improving infrastructure, and so forth.

If taxes are lowered in CT there will be a LOT of pain and suffering. And it probably won't even help the state at all. Austerity never works. Look at Kansas.
