New Canaan got snow from this NorEaster yesterday. Took these this morning. 12hrs after with some melting. Temp was mid 30s.. Meanwhile in Wilton NOTHING and temp was in low 40s.

So awesome to see the differences around here in such short distances!.

Ridgefield still had snow stuck to the trees this morning. Must of been blizzard conditions with the snow and winds.

Vista, NY bordering New Canaan and Ridgefield.

posted couple more in the Photo Thread.

Didn't snow at all in Waterbury lots of rain and wind. Temps hovered in the high to mid 30s yesterday, but dropped close to freezing overnight. Temps back up to mid 40s today, but still windy.

All models agree on a cold pattern for March next 10 days
Heard more models now back to predicting snow/rain mix. Temps look to hover in high 30s and low 40s next week.

"Just gotta laugh" as in it's being overestimated? Or is it just going to be rain because it's too warm. Hearing of a 11 inch snow storm would have definitely been close to front page by now.

As in, it's March again.

In the last 5 yrs Only 1 March has been above normal. Meanwhile it's record warmest every other month. LOL
3 of those 5 had well above normal snow.

And true to form and as I predicted earlier in this thread, NWS is now saying snow for all, including NYC!

And last year if I remember right a rare (but not unprecdented) case of March being colder than February....though today was warmer than predicted (a lot of the places without snow cover are approaching 50!) wonder if it will happen two years in a row. Someone in another forum noted that having the record warmest month happen for that same month two years in a row (as happened in NYC but I don't think did for other nearby stations....I think you said BDR only had it's 2nd or 3rd warmest February this year for example) is rare but not unprecdented. In the case of NYC he noted two other times, October of 1946/47 and February of 1953/54. Also it came close in March of 1945/46 but 1946 ended up #2 (and now #3 to 2012)

I still can't get over this. Forget the 1-5" that fell nearby.... Just a short drive and over the CT border in Hudson Valley they got 8-12" on the ground. (up to 3 feet not far northwest of there)

So less than 50 mile miss for entire Western CT!

Another look... Less than 50 miles and Western CT would of gotten a foot of snow.

I say it'll snow from Tueday night to Wednesday eve with temps hovering around 32 to 34. Then by eves temps will pick up to 36 and 38 by Thursday morning. Rain/Snow Wednesday eve to midnight Thursday. This falls around the 2fter we got last March.

I figured......The roof was pretty smashed and the people were removed far before I got there. Probably the driver since the roof was caved in more on that side......I did not see how someone could have survived that impact. What a shame. I worry about that every time I drive this parkway......I looked up almost the whole ride home after I got through that area. Trees were bending really bad.
