Need to stop pensions for all govt employees.
We have a spending problem 1st.
Lets say we legalize pot, do tolls, etc. Now its even harder to stop the pensions.
That should have happened a while ago.
This is the single biggest issue we face. Numbers dont lie.
We need to also protect our borders, and allow more smart immigration.

I hope someone tries, because that will be the last time this stupid idea comes up.

The starting salary at the DMV for clerks is only 35k a year. Inspectors like the ones you see on the highway inspecting trucks etc start around 38k. Those salaries are already too low.
Thats starting it ramps up pretty quick. Also the cost of benefits is greater than the pay at the DMV. Thats mindblowing.

Maybe it wouldnt be such a bad place if it ran like a real business in 2018

CT has started a new defined benefit pension plan for all hired on or after 7-01-2017 I think it is called tier V. Its very similar to the Fed pension plan, so your wish at least in part has come true.

Check back in thirty years or so when all the previous retirees from the older tiers have died off. By that time though, if health care spending doesn't get under control any pension savings will be shifted to healthcare spending.

So tell all your reps medicare for all now - right now.

I agree lol. It can be frustrating going in there. Those people get yelled at for enforcing rules they have no control over. If given a choice to sit waiting in the DMV or in hell, I’d choose hell.

I do whatever I can online.

Will vote for who is most electable at the end. Who can win over whom the Dems put up.

Republican, but I still haven't given it much thought yet. Jimmy V & Father Wil have been spending more radio time on national issues not so much local. I haven't heard too many ads lately, except for Lamont who looks to be on an advertising blitz this week.

Here's hoping we have a candidate who is willing to work with legislatures to green-light this.

Colorado state budget. ~$36 billion for FY 2016. Tax/fee/license revenue from marijuana in 2017. $247 million. Less than 1%.
