I’m in no hurry. I’ll let first responders and vital staff go first. They need it more than I do. Jay
I doubt you'll have a choice. The vaccine won't be available to the general public most likely until first responders and vital staff have received it first.
Thanks for the replies so far......some of you didn't actually take a position at all fwiw. So far in this casual poll.....it's barely 50% yes.
Most of the yes votes are qualified at that. " I have to because I'm a health care worker" ✓
" Will do it after all essential employees get it first, so we will know what possible side effects" Find that to possibly be true. But long term we we will not. Of course we haven't gotten to that point. So the media hasn't made that the topic yet.
This seems so far to follow my own casual observations.
Lastly friends with those from different political leanings.......I see no difference in either camp with receiving the vaccine or not.
You're not still beating the natural herd immunity drum, are you?
I’m not even sure what you mean.
I do believe by the time the first few waves of vaccines are administered, in combination with natural immunity, will be enough to reduce the virus to very manageable levels.

You've been a huge proponent of letting natural herd immunity happen on the other other thread. Thankfully, it's going to be modern science that brings that to us. Only 4 percent of the population has gotten the virus and it's not clear that even those 4 percent are now permanently immune. A lot more pain and death than we've even had so far would have needed to occur before we ever achieved natural herd immunity.

There is studies showing 10-20% have T cells giving them immunity already. My family other than my youngest all had CV. My youngest tested a day after us and was negative. Did we retest her....no. The quarantine period would be the same out of caution.
So my whole point for starting this thread is if they build it, will they come. Not sure yet. Will say 50% getting vaccines be enough with the others who by that point contracted CV be enough to give us herd immunity?
Yes, I will get it when it's available to me. I'm a cancer survivor.
