In the short term... looks like a nice day today for Easter. Sunshine and temps in the upper 50's F. Yesterday's highs, NWS Bridgeport hit 60 F, most locations south of MA hit 60's F or higher

Rather be in Virginia but I'll take the 50s and partly sunny skies here in CT

I can't believe we'll struggle past 40s next 7 days.

CT should always be a day or two warm followed by a day or two cool. Rinse and repeat. The exception is on Christmas Day when it should be cold and snowing.

Ok, back to how CT is in reality.

We don't see this pattern in November or December, we see it in March and April. Just so frustrating and like a Violin over and over

We wont need the plows but I mean come on

Cambium- I didn't want to say anything at the time but I think you jinxed CT's Spring when you waived your white flag a little too early... At least Northern New England is getting some nice Spring snow, which will lead to a delayed / prolonged mud season but that's the trade in years like this one.

I learned a long time ago very early spring weather (early April) can be all over the place in terms of weather.

Worse, the models have real trouble handling it. (lol). They go up and down and from one extreme to another, and contrasting temps are also close together

Example, this Tue they have most of the Tri-State area with highs in the 40's F (due to rain/clouds), yet mid 50's are just off to the south

Then 7 days later, the models have much of the Tri-State with highs in the mid 60's F :

Then a week later....back into the 50's, but mid 70's F are just off to the south - lol ....

I think all would agree...a perfect Easter 2024 , sunshine and temps in the 60's F.

Yesterdays highs across the Tri-State area. Bridgeport (63 F) beat Bradley (60 F) - lol:

Looking ahead this week...mostly cloudy today with highs in the 50's F, then on/off rain showers Tue - Thur, then clearing on Friday highs highs near 50 F.

...and finally....for those wondering where NWS Bridgeport landed?

It's official, March 2024 was the 2nd warmest March on record (since 1948) at NWS Bridgeport, the last few days with highs in the 60's F (normal high low 50's F) pushed them past 2010:

On/off rain showers? How about--intense low pressure system expected to affect New England!
