Eclipse should happen around 3:25pm that day.

Interactive map with link.

Looks like CT is forecasted to have clouds but we're not in the Total Eclipse path. Rochester, Buffalo, Northern New England is. If we had clear skies we would see partial eclipse.

Seems like NWS over forecast precip amounts so far. Not much precip reported yesterday, both NWS Bradley and Bridgeport reported 0.00 rain? Not totally shocked, spring showers are often disorganized

As of this morning front is getting closer, so whatever showers/rain we get better happen tonight/early Thur: NWS seems to have backed off on amounts an timing:

Area Forecast Discussion
National Weather Service New York NY
735 AM EDT Wed Mar 27 2024

Much of the same for the first part of Thu, then the nature of
the sys transitions as low pres begins to deepen over the Atlc.
Uncertainty with the modeling. The 00Z ECMWF is well E of the
benchmark with the low. The NAM, GEM, and GFS are left of the
track but still E of the benchmark. This favors ern areas for
getting into the rain shield on the wrn side of the low Thu aftn
and eve, and less rain elsewhere. Any further ewd trend could
relegate most of the pcpn to the ocean.
NW winds lock in by
aftn, then gradually increase Thu ngt as they respond to the
falling pres. The low doesn`t really get going until Fri aftn
based on the progs, and by that time, it is expected to be 200
to 300 miles E of Montauk and pulling away

Still looking at a really nice holiday weekend if the forecast is right

Unbelievable. 540 line to South Carolina???

This means temps in the 20s at 5000' over CT, 30s/40s at the surface during the day...in April and a blizzard for Maine

Someone please start your gas lawn mowers so we can have more 60s/70s in Spring

Is that a forecast or the historical chance of clouds on April 8? (I'm seeing it in Buffalo by the way).
