Cowardice. Theater owners assumed the American public are so sheltered they wouldn't go to the movies on Christmas Day out of fear of "terrorists" setting off a bomb in Des Moines. Basically any vague internet threat can disrupt our way of life these days.

It was irresponsible of Sony to make the movie in the first place. Why throw gasoline on the fire for the sake of a few yuks?

(And I have no doubt that it would have been a bad movie anyway.)

I had been waiting for this movie for a while. I am infuriated at the cowardice shown by theater owners and Sony in this manner. Let the cowards stay home, but give the rest of us a chance to see the movie.

It looks like a dreadful, low brain cell count affair to me. But I'm sure it will be viewable at some point. It could be a delayed rollout. It could be straight to VOD and disc.
