As opposed to us, who supposedly practice Christianity. We have capital punishment of our own citizens, Guantanamo Bay, and let's not forget the Hiroshima and Nagasaki nuclear bombs during WWII which killed about 129,000 people. Oh yeah, we also had the Japanese internment camps. And we still have wars going on even today which are killing more people at this very moment. And then we have the Catholic church pedophilia scandal as well. Now what were you saying about Islam being such a bad religion? Hypocrisy much? I am not religious. I don't practice any religion. But saying Islam is bad, and we are good just because the majority of American citizens are Christians and not Muslims is patently ridiculous.

The difference is that Christianity is not what's encouraging "us" to bomb cities and such -- politics and political agendas do. One of the above posters shared a passage in the Qu'ran that supports -- actually ORDERS -- Muslims to strike non-believers at the neck, otherwise known as beheading.

In what world does capitol punishment, a prison or any of the other things you list = wholesale slaughter of kids and women, rape and all the other heinous acts carried out by these animals.

None of what you cite are acts committed "in the name of" or in accordance with any religion. I found that those who rush to make a distinction between the acts "Islamic Extemists" and those who follow Islam as a whole, will nevertheless paint "America" with the broadest of brushes and reach for the most tenuous of connections to Christianity to portray evil intent. Democrats decided to drop those bombs and implement internment camps - does that speak more to Democrat tenets than Christian? It doesn't make sense either way.

It astounds me, the lengths that some people will go to, to defend the indefensible.
Why on earth are you being an apologist for this violent ideology that has no place in the modern world?

The only thing about your rant that is relevant is the Catholic church and pedophilia , although no where in the Catholic religion is it encouraged to diddle little kids. So really that isn't even relevant.
So I don't see where your calling hypocrisy. Not all Muslims are bad but when taken to the extreme the religion is for sure.

Because the ISISholes don't represent Islam.
They are thugs who think they are invincible, and hopefully will be proven wrong shortly.
No one is trying to defend their actions.
When nutjobs like Adam Lanza and that pathetic loser Elliot whats-his-name killed children and women, did you go around saying "Look at these Christian terrorists"?
The difference is that in the Middle East there are enough of them, and enough ignorance, that they can form a militia. Which also happens periodically in US, by racist Hitler-wannabes, but the law enforcement in US is far better at dealing with it.

Several militias. Boko Haram, IS, Al Nusra. Al Quaida, Taliban... Need I go on?
Most peaceful Muslims are about as devout as the Jack Mormon who drinks your beer on a fishing trip. Those Muslims are just plain old good people. Islam, which is not only a religion , but a system of governance, is not an ideology that the west should embrace. It's violent, sexist, racist, and incompatible with Democracy.

I call Bull_$hit ! ISIS may not represent Islam but there are plenty of other atrocities that are performed in the name of Allah by Muslim extremists to show this isn't a religion of peace. Sure there are millions of peaceful Muslims that would never think of doing some of these things but in the mind of there extreme brothers they are just as bad as us Infidels.
