He can buy COBRA, like any other fired for cause employee.

It isn't up to taxpayers to fund the executioner's wife's needs.

PS: Conviction has nothing to do with fired for cause.
Not in my experience. I have seen benefits last anywhere from 30 to 90 days before cobra was offered.

He wasn't fired for cause. His firing was politically motivated. The man did his job, which was to remove a criminal from the street.

Yes, they will pay for the costs of the riot that will take place when Slager is rightfully exonerated.

What did his wife and kid do?

I would ask what did Slager do too, but given the climate of this current witch hunt, that would likely be a non-starter.

He stole Slager's taser, thus he was armed and a threat to the community.

Baloney, O.C. he murdered, is in a cage, where like all animals he'll be for the rest of his life.

Always good to see animals caged. Its unfortunate given his mental makeup he bred.

Videotape shows the murder on tape. That is justice, not a witch hunt.

Justice will be done when this charade is ended and Slager walks free.

You know, no words could have been spoken at all, we could have seen the man cooperate in every way, and watched as the cop put the gun to his temple and shoot him, and some of you would be saying, "Well, we don't know what was said before they started rolling the tape. Maybe the guy threatened the officer with his life, or it could be that the guy asked the cop to kill him."

This is as certain a conviction on murder charges as the Boston Bomber. There is no reason for the prosecution to even entertain a deal. Just show the tape, and say "the state rests".

They are watching Slager's mental health, which makes sense, because if he were not thinking of suicide, I'd doubly question his mental health. Like The Boston Bomber, his life as a free man is over. BOTH deserve that.
