Wrong! I have close relative with polycystic ovary disease. She is 5'8" tall and about 110 lbs. However, she does exercise, she walks, and she exercises her arms by pushing away from the table. Whitney uses that condition as an excuse. One way to get rid of that condition? LOSE WEIGHT!
There are metabolic causes for PCOS that very, so some people who are thin have it. By the way, 5'8" and 110 lbs is NOT healthy and dangerously underweight. 5'8" and 110 lbs is about as healthy as being 500lbs
Thinking about eating all of that food makes me sick.
Me too! I can think of no worse punishment than eating all that rubbish! Note: no veggies or fruit. She's got to be deficient in so many vitamins and minerals which will just make her mental issues worse.
This sort of stuff raises interesting questions. How self-destructive does a person have to be before its becomes a moral imperative to stop them?
No matter how self-destructive they are, you can't stop them. The law says no one can be committed to a mental health facility unless they're going to seriously harm themselves or others. And under the law as I understand it, that means physically beat someone to the point they are permanently maimed or kill them or kill yourself.
A family can't even make someone go to a substance abuse program. A judge can, but only if that person has committed an unlawful act that was caused or exacerbated by being under the influence.
This woman and her boyfriend are well within the law in the US and they're adults. Even if they are mentally ill, they can't lawfully be stopped from anything they are doing.
I personally think the law needs to change. I understand why it is like it is, because there are evil people in this world who would commit someone to get their hands on their money or other selfish schemes. But there needs to be a way to get help for mentally ill people who don't want to be helped BEFORE they break any laws.
