you dont know where flight attendant's have been, don't chew on them without proper protection
Dont speak too soon. Around the time of the horrific "Miami Zombie " attack there were several incidents involving biting or cannibalism. Violence esp strange types like biting, attacks with kitchen appliences etc tend to happen in groups. Possibly copycat attacks or the influence of crazy on other crazy people.
From violence to benign behavior people do some STRANGE things. Not all are outwardly weird people either. They live among us as neighbors, friends etc.
Biting is taught as a method of fighting in Somalia. Children who refuse to bite, kick and scratch their peers are punished, often violently, by their parents.
I can't get the link to come up but I bet they were flying on Spirit.
Why Spirit Airlines specifically? The crazed behavior is more conductive to Greyhound bus. There's whole threads on Greyhound experiences from the normal passengers who have been subjected to it. Now planes are beating Greyhound in the crazy department. You can't win.
"He took in the four a.m. show at the Clark
Excitable boy, they all said
And he bit the usherette's leg in the dark
Excitable boy, they all said
Well, he's just an excitable boy" - Warren Zevon, Excitable Boy

I've never flown on Spirit, but I know a lot of people who have, & their experiences have made Spirit sound like the Greyhound of airlines.
Any relation to the guy the face eater that smoked dope & chewed on people's faces??
That was way more extreme, as this person ran off afterword. Still crazy though. As for those face eating people the man you speak about was not the first "cannibal" attacker in recent times. The other Miami attack was follwed by several others in a close time frame. The word zombie was being entertained as possibly being real and a map was even made showing the time line of attacks. I forget the exact year.
It was live, crazy people which actually made it MORE scary, not less.
As for the recent outbursts on planes, I think groups of people in enclosed spaces increases anxiety and aggression. Let me point out also as someone who works in the travel industry that some people become crazier then a s#@thouse rat when traveling. Seen several bizarre outbursts at hotels alone. A lot was fueled by booze/drugs as well.
