A woman in our community, well into her fifties, has had two babies in the last 6-7 years, presumably using frozen embryos. She already had 5 or 6 kids and her youngest was in middle school when started over. She and her husband will be in their 70s when these last two graduate from high school. It's their business, of course, but it's not something I would ever consider doing.
Sarah was 90 or 91 when Isaac was born, and she died at the age of 127. Sarah was 90 when Isaac was conceived, but there are some disparate records of her age at his birth. Still, it is only a matter of a very small amount of time, and she was either 90 or 91 when Isaac was born.
seriously? cmon...how do you people get through your lives believing "literally" in the bible...wtf?
How do you know it wasn't her egg? I didn't read that anywhere. Inquiring minds want to know!
Wasn't her egg. She used a donor. Go to the phone book. Look up Reproductive Endocrinologists in your area. Tell them you are in your 50s and want to do an IVF cycle with your own egg. They will tell you no, it won't work and they won't be able to help you. In fact, many clinics in the US won't even accept patients over 50 who want to use donor egg, although there are a few in California that will and some overseas. I'm aware that many women in their late 40s and 50s claim they used their own egg but the vast majority of them are lying.
My Grandmother had her last child when she was 55 or 56 and this was around 1970, since my Aunt was 5 years younger than myself. It can happen.
However she became pregnant I hope she and her child have a wonderful life together.
