Bridgette married husband # 5 in 2006 according to the article someone posted here so maybe she had her eggs frozen then, when she was 42?

Someone mentioned Meghan Markle is pregnant with twins. Did you read that in the Enquirer? Because she only got married May 19th so even if she did get pregnant right away after the wedding I don't think anybody could tell if she was having twins at 4-6 weeks pregnant unless of course she was already pregnant when they married which I doubt.

She would have to be in unusually good (female) health at nearly 60, but with hormone therapy and maintenance, it's no longer headline material unless, well, you're Brigitte Neilsen.

The ethics of having a child at that age, when the mother is unlikely to survive until high school graduation and may not be capable of normal child interaction (even if she is Brigitte Neilsen)... are another matter.
She is 54. High school graduation will occur in 18 years. What makes you think she won't survive to 72?

I remember a few years ago, a grandmother in Ohio carried a baby for her daughter who couldn’t. I think we old babes can carry a pregnancy, but not get pregnant naturally.

Egg freezing was not very common at all 12 years ago. She could have had embryos frozen back then. But it's unlikely, most people don't leave embryos frozen that long; they either use them, donate them or have them discarded within a few years. She probably used a donor egg to get pregnant.

I read online that the story of Meghan Markle being pregnant is fake news.

Sure. 43 is not "elderly" by any stretch of the imagination and if someone is sick and lacks energy in their 40s and 50s, there is another reason for that. I always feel sad when someone has a parent that otherwise loved them and did their best and the only "fault" that parent had, was being older. There are many kids who don't even have a father in their life at all. Their young dad ran off, didn't pay child support and didn't play a role in their life. So clearly, youth isn't everything and doesn't make someone a better parent.

When Bridgette brings her child to school a lot of parents and her classmates will be thinking that's the grandmother. Quite a few of my school mates thought my dad was my grandfather as he had me at 40.

more power to you Brigitte!

this gives hope and an example to plenty of older women. Especially those who lost out on having all their kids earlier. Go for it ladies! just get healthy first and stay healthy, good nutrition, exercise etc. Educate yourself about all the needed things.

And it doesn't really matter, either.
