So basically it was a very big bob cat which can still kill large prey. He's lucky it wasn't bigger or more seasoned but still quite the feat. Those claws and teeth are for real.

Wait a minute!!...

What's going on here??...

This thing started out as an 80 pound Mountain Lion and has suddenly shrunk down to 35 to 40 pounds and changed species from ML to Bobcat?? And also being described as a Kitten??

What's to follow here? Will it wind up being a stray 10 pound Himalayan cat escaped from a local shelter, or a 5 pound Himalayan kitten??

The jogger snapped this single photo of the savage beast just before it seized him in its vice-like jaws of death!

35 to 40 pounds is a guess. The normal weight would have been about 24 pounds, so basically the size of a large house cat. I think his hero status is shrinking down a bit, with the size of the cat. LOL. But still an interesting story, none the less.

I consider it a national issue of utmost concern; whether the hiker colluded with the cat to misrepresent its size.

The necropsy report came in showing the kitten weighed only 24 pounds and was at most 3-4 months old. This guy is a real hero wrestling and strangling a baby mountain lion a little larger than a good sized house cat. I think there's more to this story than the guy is telling everyone.
