Absolutely horrible. I feel so bad for the parents and community

How come no rioting, or looting over this? This I can actually get behind.

George Floyd killed himself with an overdose, and Chauvin is left to hang, while this poor innocent teen is gunned down for probably a gang initiation.

This country is seriously backwards if we have all these people with a twisted priority.

How do you know it's a gang initiation? I don't see that in any news source, local or otherwise. That murder happened in a reasonably nice neighborhood.

I am taking a wild guess. I did write "likely, probably" The perp is underage too. It does not fit the MO of a bullied schoolboy looking for revenge. Those have been shooting up schools lately. Not targeting lone persons on the street. The perp was caught like half a mile away or something. Seems like this person was sticking out like a sore thumb. And why they need multiple shots, if they knew how to aim? Gangbanger a lot of time dont have the proper training. They just do what they see on TV. That why so many gang shootouts end up with many bullets fired, and no fatalities.

There would be rioting or looting if the perpetrator were not arrested or charged. The rioting and looting was for the lack of justice in that case, and for a system that is supposed to protect all people and often doesn’t work that way. Was this perp found to Be within his rights and let go? If not there’s nothing to riot about.

He's facing charges of second-degree homicide. Why not first-degree? Age?

Over the weekend, Henrico’s Commonwealth’s Attorney told 8News that the law allows her office to charge the juvenile as an adult.
Vaughan Jones, a criminal defense attorney, confirmed this, saying juveniles over the age of 14 and charged with any offense that would be a felony. if committed by an adult, could be tried in adult criminal court.
In Virginia, all homicides are presumed to be second-degree murder, but Jones said the Commonwealth could elect to charge a higher grade of homicide at a later date.

no, actually, it often DOES work that way. the problem is that we are conditioned to believe otherwise, by opportunists that have a lot to gain by exposing the exception. those opportunists can be a family suing for millions (after donning their sunday best for the cameras and pretending they sit around and have game night and read the bible), the media and its quest for ratings, etc.

It’s some weird Virginia thing:

“In Virginia, all homicides are presumed to be second-degree murder, but Jones said the Commonwealth could elect to charge a higher grade of homicide at a later date.”

I don’t see anything about a gang initiation in any article.

That’s total BS. I know what I have seen with my own eyes. And it’s not just people of color, either. Not going to argue it here so we will have to agree to disagree.

The girl's death is unfortunate and sad..but I fail to see the tie to the Floyd case. Do you know something about this perp that no one else knows? I love that you already are spinning this and assuming that it's a gang initiation when you know squat.
