He took his dog for a walk at 2:45 AM, brought the dog back in and stepped back out of the apartment possibly to pick up Uber Eats or one of those type of things to pick up food for Tuesday at school. His phone was off by 3am and has never come back on.
He left behind his keys, wallet, and vehicle, police said. He did have his phone but it has since turned off, they said.
There's just nothing there that would cause anyone to believe he was in any trouble, danger or leaving.
Search for missing A&M-CC student Caleb Harris continues and expands as CCPD brings in Dive and Recovery Team.
Police also deployed cadaver dogs in the area and drones are used to search nearby wetlands and a dive team to search canals in the area.
Corpus Christi Police Academy cadets were helping to canvas fields and ditches. Parents, friends and fellow students are also helping with the search.
After a week, there aren't still any clues or evidence.
This is really scary and I hope they find Caleb soon. Since his phone was on for 15 minutes after he dropped his dog back off at the apartment I wonder if they can tell if he was on foot or in a car for those 15 minutes before the phone was turned off.
This reminds me of the case a couple of years ago, of a Princeton student who was later found to have committed suicide after concealing herself amid shrubbery. She attended an event on or near campus, returned to her dorm room late at night, then went out again, never to be seen again alive. The toxicology report revealed she'd combined prescription drugs to commit suicide. https://paw.princeton.edu/article/mi...osecutor%C2%A0

Sad. I suspect something similar has happened here as well.

Perhaps.
Then why would he order food for his lunch on the same day?
Unless it was a spur of the moment reaction to something that happened between him ordering food and deciding to end it all?
Last kind and thoughtful act - to take a dog out late at night as he knew he wouldn’t be available early in the morning to do that?

Couple years ago a TX student disappeared on his drive home for college break. Found his vehicle on a country road, but no sign of him.
Sounds very similar
