Happy leap day everyone !!!
Did you know that "traditionally" today is the one day that women can ask for a man's hand in marriage
there is also a
Leap Year Cocktail
Invented at the Savoy Hotel in London on February 29, 1928 this sweet concoction was said to have spurred many a marriage proposal.

Leap Year cocktail
2 ounces gin
1/2 ounce Grand Marnier
1/2 ounce sweet vermouth
1/4 ounce fresh lemon juice

Stir and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Serve with a twist of lemon.

Today I will be leaping around the neighborhood with Lola as we join our friend that lives down the street for our 4 loop walk.

Having the carpets cleaned this afternoon this should be interesting I am going to have to put then in the library till they get the bedroom done then move them there. rofl I hope they don't "read" to many books.

So how will you be "leaping" today

karla

Good morning!
Off to the gym in a bit for the usual 45 on the bike and weights, then lunch with Mr. tlb, then to the store for a few storm supplies(another 5-8" expected tonight). Bella will be dong some leaping over mounds of snow in the backyard, does that count?
Have a great day all!

Morning peeps!

I have been dragged up one side of the neighborhood and back down the other this morning. After 2 days of hiding from the weather my dog is W-I-L-D!

I have a few errands to get done, but nothing interesting or very exciting.

Karla, can you send that German chocolate cake up here? I'll also take one of those cocktails with extra of everything!

I did step air-obics this morning ... from the top step all the way to the bottom! Body parts that I didn't know existed hurt. The good news, I wasn't carrying my usual cup of java.

Mother Nature dropped another 3-4 inches of snow during the night. Won't be walking too far with the pooches. There's ice under the damn stuff and I really don't want to go A over T again. Have fun tlb 'cause it's heading your way!!!!!

Hope everyone has a cracking Friday!

Beautiful weather here again, so will motivate myself and hubby out for a walk around the neighborhood. Spring is setting in and a lot of the trees are blooming and the hills are green.... Yeah! I love springtime. Will probably spray the weeds around the house and plant more seeds in the greenhouse. Happy Friday!

Hey, if there's any of that cake left......

Somebody else can have my cocktail, tho. I'm not a gin person.

We're on our way to the mall. Catch y'all later.

Did someone say cake??! I could use some right now. Just got a call from our agent and the showing for today was cancelled. Apparently they did a drive-by and didn't like our location. Oh well.
Tet, glad to hear you didn't seriously injure yourself. I bounced all the way down our stairs one time and my butt had a giant bruise on it for a month.
