Wow, am I beat! Rough night last night. 2:15, some stupid barking dog woke me up. Then I heard people yelling at each other (man vs. woman) and she was telling him if he didn't back his truck up and turn it around right now, she was calling security. Well, that woke me up, that's for sure! I listened for a bit to see if everything was ok, and they calmed down, altho I couldn't hear everything they said. Finally, I heard him say something and she said "that's ok," and then I saw car lights on my bedroom wall and heard the truck pull away. But if you think I could sleep after that.....

I still went out and did my 30 min. bike ride, even tho my knees yelled at me the whole time. After I have some coffee, read the paper and, oh yeh, do the ? o' the day, I'm outside to wash the windows. It's a agorgeous morning here - mid 60's, no humidity. I should say low humidity.

Anyway....busy day. Catch y'all later.

Morning peeps!

It is slightly cooler here as well this morning. Shadow & I walked around the golf course. I think by the time we were headed home she was regretting going that way because it was starting to get warm very quickly and there is no shade on the side that brings us home. Oh well, maybe she will leave me alone for a little while.

I know the other day was national Clean Your Room Day but I think today will be Evey Clean Your Room Day. My office always seems to collect the stuff we don't know where else to put, and I have been on a sunflower seed kick lately so it kind of looks like a teenaged bird lives in here. So that will be my project for the day.

Hello all,

The hernia is a big one. Surgery will be under general anaethesia on 21st or 30th. I cannot sit. I can stand - or walk a little - or lay down, but he does not want me sitting. So here I am at my desk, with my keyboard perched atop a xerox paper box, standing and typing. I'm strange ... but consistent. Looks like my workout plan will be on hold for a while, though he did say I could do some light walking. I will.

Charley

Good morning! Wow Charley... you cannot sit at all? Hopefully they will get the surgery done on the 21st as your condition does not sound comfortable at all. Lots of good thoughts going your way. I think hubby and I will walk over to our little driving range and hit some golf balls around for a while and then walk around trying to retrieve them. After that maybe I will come home and do my 20 minute work out video, then some light house cleaning and then I need to work on my presentation for the master gardener program. Sounds like a full day to me! Happy Tues

hey all back from school
the kids loves "plant your own cutting day"

rofl I am now positive that I will have no nails left for the wedding as yet another broke while we were digging up the potato's
we actually grew some !!!

ok what is it with our "broken" men !!

we found out yesterday that the orthopedic doctor wants to removes the rod that is in Mr Karla's thigh from when he broke it in 3 places years ago
he has been having some problems and now the xrays are showing that the scar tissue is producing calcium with is forming bone and between that and the calcium that is building on the heads of the screws this is why he is having pain.
So because he is wanting to do the job change (he has another interview tomorrow) he needs to get this done asap because when he gets a new job they may not be thrilled if he takes time off right after starting

so now comes the fun of trying to get through to the scheduling person 2 phone calls so far
ok so as long as I am in a don't mess with me mood I might as well attack the torture of shoe shopping

but hey I will be at the mall and we all know how much I love mall food !!!!!!!!

Hi everyone,
Just got back from NM last night. Needs rain really bad. Too many fires.
One of my brothers dogs is in real bad shape. They're giving him a week to see if he responds to more meds and then he may have to go to doggy heaven. He's in pain and can barely walk now. I've been rubbing on his legs some and he seems to not mind.
Charley, my s/o had a hernia operation several years ago and he was up and around within a couple of days. Hard to believe they're making you wait since you can't get comfortable.
Jeannie, this seems like the worst time ever to get our houses sold. It used to be so easy and an agent that works for you is exactly what you need. Just keep the attourneys out of it.
My house update is that we are 3 inches into the floodplain and now the county commissioner is passing the buck onto the state. Still waiting.
No exercise yet for me but I'll be walking this afternoon.
Talk later.

Wow, that was a strange day!

I started work today. After more than 14 months off it was really different than staying at home with DS.
I wanted to let DS sleep in b/c my mom wanted to bring him to the day nursery but he woke me shortly before 6 a.m. So I had to squeeze him into my schedule of getting ready for work.

After work I went to preparations class for my oral exam and when I came back at 7:45 p.m. DS was already sleeping.

I'm glad I can start work early in the morning and pick him up at the day nursery and still have some time with him before he has to go to bed.

No work out for me today but I'm planning to go all the 5.8 miles to work by bike. So early start for tomorrow that's why I'm already ready for bed.

See you around.
Take care!
Diana

Oh, wow, Charley-sorry to hear that your hernia situation is so serious. Hopefully you can do it next week and not have the extra time to worry, and not be able to sit!
Couldn't sleep for diddly squat last night, and for some reason, the cat decided it was time to eat a couple hours earlier than usual-and her PURRING and her head-butting me [which she usually does to dh, not me], didn't help.
Anyway, I tried several new exercises today, from a 'bikini workout' and my huge *ahem* "glutes" and"quads" were protesting quite a bit, and I have a feeling there are other muscles going to pay me back tomorrow!
Karla-sorry to hear about your hubby-that sounds pretty nasty.
Hope you all have a nice rest of your day, anyway
