wow it is almost the weekend already !!!
is it me or did this week go by really fast

They are saying it is suppose to rain all day today, but looking at the radar map it seems to be going north of us
We really need the rain so I am hoping
I am going to head over to C/D in a bit then when I get home it is exercise time
Then if the rain hold off I am going to go out into the garden. I spoke to my buddy at the extension office and I can prune the stuff that comes back from the roots (ginger/firespike types)
I really need a "dig in the dirt " fix

So what are y'all doing today ?

Good morning! GOsh, where is everybody today???

DH and I both got up and did our walk today. Only about 2-2 1/2 miles, we were both tired. But then we got back to the house and you should see what we accomplished here all before 9 a.m.! Holy Cadoodles! After we showered, we headed over to Publix to pick up a couple of items, then got home and DH made a crockpot full of sweet and sour meatballs. Boy, do they look good! I should take a picture...

Well, we accomplished all our goals that we started out to do day before yesterday. We did run into more construction on the bridge yesterday, but we managed to get around it this time. Got my hair cut (REAL short), but it feels good, that's for sure. Came home, had an early dinner and watched a pretty good movie.

Today, now that we have all that house stuff done, I think it'll be a lazy day. Warm and humid today. Supposed to hit 80, but it sure feels like rain down here, even tho we're not supposed to get any. I just may have to make a pool visit, whether I need to or not!

Have a wonderful day everybody.

Forgot to tell you...we did go and check out our "niche" yesterday. It was a little on the creepy side, but I'm glad we went. Our names were all spelled correctly.

Morning peeps!

Rain in the forecast here too. It is 73, humid, and the wind is howling.

Shadow & I took a short walk this morning. Did I mention the wind? Of course it is trash day..... Chicken dog was spooking at everything. We will hit the dog park later if the rain holds off.

I am going to clean out my truck today. It sure needs it!

Dang it Evey, I keep forgetting you're in Florida now. Your posts used to be my weather forecast! It is really windy here too, though.

I kept thinking yesterday was Thursday for some reason, but it's still hard to believe tomorrow is Friday. Not much to look forward to around here in late January though.

Today I only did a 20 minute SWEAT workout--they capitalized sweat, not me! Don't know why either

Sweet and sour meatballs sound really good! Are they hard to make?

Have a good day all.

The meatballs were a hit. They looked really simple. Here's the recipe:

1 jar 9-10oz. sweet and sour sauce (we used a sweet & sour duck sauce)
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon pepper
3 lb. frozen meatballs
1 med. red bell pepper, cubed
1 can 20 oz. pineapple chunks, drained

place all ingredients in a lined slow cooker, stir gently. Place lid on cooker. cook on LOW for 7-8 hours OR on HIGH for 4-5 hours until done.

We served them over jasmine rice with a salad on the side. I think stir fry veggies would be even better. This would also make a great party food.

O.K. Karla, I just saw some video of all of the damage from the storm in your neck of the woods. Feel free to check in and let us know that none of the 4 tornadoes blew you (or Chaos) away.

Hey all
We did get rain thunder & lightening, but the majority of the bad storms went north and south of us
They kept breaking in on the TV with the weather reports
I can't remember the last time we had thunderstorms in the winter

Because it was so yucky it was a very lazy day here I did get caught up on all the stuff I recorded especially American Idol lol hubby can't stand the show so I DVR it and watch it during the day

Chaos is not a fan of the rain so he goes out does his business then gives me the "ok enough of this wet stuff lets go in " look he loves getting dried off with a towel
So we played inside he loves to play soccer. He has one kong in his mouth while he bounces the other between his paws. I am going to have to bring my camera over one day to record this because it is so funny
