Natalie Portman was awful, although she's picked up her game in her recent movies.

Just my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

BTW, the worst scene was when Portman fell out of a speeder, crashed to the ground, rolled down multiple times, then just bounced up like nothing happened, ready to fight.

"Are you OK? Yes" Saw it yesterday on some cable channel.

I remember seeing episode 1 in a theater and the audience laughing at the bull.
Angel Heart was the end of the innocence of the 80's.

Basic Instinct followed, Chasing Amy, Illegal in Blue (google that one) and Requiem for a Dream with one particularly horrible scene...

Avoid Illegal in Blue. Cinemax classic with Stacy Dash from 'Clueless'...best line was "my husband said I looked so good in blue...it should be illegal"

Clearly you've not seen the stripper scene in Requiem for a Dream when they ask an old man what he wants to see the girls do next and he holds up a double-sided...just rent it, I hold my position.

Saw the film in theatres. I wasn't arguing that Blue Velvet was the peak of that sort of thing.... just pointing out that things certainly as extreme as Angel Heart had been done earlier in the decade.

I remember when RFAD came out on DVD reading a review that said something like, "This film is unrated. Make your teenager see it anyway." It is a heck of a lot more efective than any anti-drug TV ad.
