Anyone know of new neighborhoods that will be built in Mckinney starting this year or next? How built out is Tucker Hill? Apparently they are starting to build Phase 2. Anyone know when they will be done building?
Any neighborhood recs? We are a young couple with two small boys (1&4) and looking for a family friendly neighborhood with a community pool and a play area. Since this is our first home, our budget would be around $275,000.

Silver Oaks Estates, Spring Lakes Estates, Inwood Hills, Stone Oak, Greens of McKinney (last phase I believe is building now). Those are just a few off the top of my head.

Not sure $275k is going to get you into Tucker Hill though. Pretty sure that they START in the $285-290k range, and go all the way to the $.5MM easy.

Lookup Stone Hollow on Alma Road (Frisco ISD) with Standard Pacific Homes. I think they start around $250's, but I would check on their site.

Most of those neighborhoods are building through Meritage. I have not read one good thing about them. I know we don't have a huge budget but I refuse to have my house built by a crappy builder.
Hoping by next year some brand new neighbooods will be built.

There's a new neighborhood being built on McKinney Ranch Parkway and Lake Forest by Avalon. They are doing the streets now. Not sure who the builder will be.

FYI, Village Park is actually zoned to Allen ISD. Lindsey Elementary is opening in the fall and is located in the neighborhood.
