Yes!!...Very serious....People think that the line is long because of how good it is...but they're only open three times a week and seems like it only takes an hour for them to run out of food. So thatts the real reason the lines be so long. Its because the people that are in line are the people who didnt get to taste it the last time they were open not because it was so good the last time.....OVERRRRRRRRATED!!!!

No, I can tell you first hand that it is because the food is GOOD! Moist, smokey well executed brisket. I've had Franklin, I've had JMueller. Pecan Lodge and Lockhart Smokehouse in Dallas are very close in terms of quality. I haven't had Dickies but it is a fast food chain. I don't expect the quality to be the same. If Dickies is anything like Spring Creek or even Rudy's, then I question your tastebuds- or you prefer dry, cardboard like meat. If you like Dickies, hey, that's fine. But don't knock establishments that put out quality product because you think it's over hyped. That is just silly.

I have to say that Dickey's is better than Colter's.

I just realized I spelled it as the clothing company, not the cardboard meat factory. My apologies to those without tastebuds.

OP we send visitors to the ok places and save the great BBQ places for just us but the ones recommended here are great ones for a visitor to become initiated to good BBQ. Once you move here or ask where we go to eat BBQ, that is the best we can do for you LOL. JK I prefer Spring Creek which is a chain but it fits my taste buds and like its consistency
