I would focus on Little Elm or North Carrollton. There are some newer townhome communities in Frisco, but I the ones I'm thinking of are in the 200s. I feel Little Elm or N. carrollton would offer more affordable options still relatively close to Plano & Denton. Carrollton zips would be 75007 & 75010.

Thanks. A couple of my coworkers live in N. Carrolton & they're kindly urging me to come join them. They say it takes them about 15 minutes to get to work ( which sounds HEAVENLY ! ) yet , they go on the Tollway. It would still mean a yard to take care of ( and the cost of paying someone . ) But I may not have the luxury of ruling out these options. The " Over 55 " homes are too expensive for my budget. Thanks again for the input ! Much appreciated !

Parts of Carrollton and The Coloney which border Plano can work well for you.
