I work in Irving (114/Beltline), and currently live in Carrollton, but I'm moving to the Knox-Henderson area in a couple of weeks. Any ideas on what's going to be my best route to avoid traffic during rush hour? I'm thinking either Central to LBJ to Beltline, or Central to 45 to 35 to 114. It seems like those will both be pretty busy, though, even going the opposite direction from most traffic, so I'd love to hear other ideas.

I used to travel a similar route and would either take 75 to woodall to 35 or lemmon to oaklawn to 35. There is a lot of traffic where woodall and 35 meet up until 35 and the tollway. Really depends on what time of day you will be traveling as well.

Thanks - those two intersections were the ones I was thinking might be problematic - Lemmon to Oaklawn to 35 might just be the best way to go.

You might try NW Highway over to 114. Not sure how fast or slow it would be, but it would avoid some of the freeway traffic.

This is a great suggestion.

Go South from K-H to Fitzhugh and turn Right (West). Take that to Lemmon and turn Right (Northwest) on Lemmon. This will take you up to NW Hwy and you can go West to 114 from there.

I had to work out there for a one month consulting job and that's the best route I found, by far. Just don't judge it by Monday (easy) or Friday (unusually long) commuting times.

Good suggestions - you can also take Fitzhugh then it turns into Wycliff...
