I've lived in Richardson, north west Plano, McKinney, North Dallas, and central Plano in the past 12 years, and I've seen only a few roaches over that time period. I have a service spray my house too, but that's mostly for tiny black ants which i've had in nearly every place.

I have found if you find rosemary plants, pick some, and steep them in a pot, strain it real good [use a coffee filter] into a spray bottle. Spray the rosemary around windows and doors [and fireplaces] it keeps the Palmetto bugs [the large one] away. Did that back in June and haven't seen a large nor a small bug in the apartment all this time.

I lived in Carrollton for almost ten years and never saw a cockroach. I did see waterbugs.

If you want to avoid areas with a higher infestation rate, then you will want to avoid Richardson, North Dallas, Grapevine, Carrollton, and Garland. Good luck to you!
Oh really, you know for a fact there are no roaches in Allen compared to say Grapevine or any other combo one can dream up. That's amazing and hilarious. For the record, I live in North Dallas (PH) and we have these cute little green lizards that gooble those suckers right up! I have no problem calling bs when I see it and boy do I see it.

I have always had geckos as long as I've lived here. I think they are cute, and I don't bother them. Probably why I don't have cockroaches.

When it gets dry the water bugs often mistaken for **** roaches come inside. Can't really blame them. If you want to see them go into the kitchen late at night and switch the lights on.
