Thanks so much, Camper. If the prednisone/steroid shot does work, it wont mean that she's cured. She'll get another attack, probably in 5-6 months. She's been getting these attacks ever since I got her almost 3 years ago -- they were minor in the beginning but have gotten increasingly worse each time.
Dobermans are prone to "cervical vertical instability" (CVI), commonly known as Wobbler's. That's what he thinks Queenie has. He did the classic test of folding her back feet under, one at a time, and seeing how long it took her to right herself. I could tell it took too long but, for some reason (maybe hopeful thinking -- or maybe all the dobermans I've seen with Wobbler's over the past 40 years of dog training).
And, Camper, you should be getting some rain right about now. I hope it makes it down to my neighborhood.
Not much. It got all scary looking, dark and loud, then just a medium rain for about 15 minutes. Nothing to write home about. I sure hope the rest of San Antonio got more than we did.
I had a heart cath on Thursday morning. There are no blockages in veins or arteries. Whew!
Congratulations!!!!
were you having problems?
