That is interesting. It shows this small area is very poor, as I would suspect, driving by.

One cannot rely on all this over abundance of information from the internet. Much of the information is just copying information from other databases, one to another. and the mass of information gets bigger, not better.

I look at Google maps and the names they use to describe areas and much of it is not relevant. It is just as this data indicates--a CDP. CDP is important for other statistical information, not for these maps. Some of the names used are not even at that level but some old names that exist somewhere and it just copied and repeated.

Also, City-Data pulls the same information and puts information out that it is some little town because they draw the conclusion from a CDP. Look at all the areas that City-Data calls cities in this list from their website
http://www.city-data.com/city/Colorado.html THESE ARE NOT ALL CITIES

I found West Pleasant View, CO, it's right off I-70, West Colfax and Hwy 6, way out on the west end of the metro area; a bit south and east of Golden. Should be a decent area, we have a page on it.
You are making the same error and making big assumptions "Should be a decent area" because "we have a page on it". Having it listed does not make it decent, because it is just one computer database dancing to the tune of another computer database. it is not a decent area and City Data information can be questionable and should be questioned. Mostly importantly for this website to be more helpful, it needs to correct much of this misleading information.

I agree. Not many people know that it is a govern municipality. I drive by there often as it one of main side roads from where I live to the South Towns. It is very exclusive with a Polo Club. The areas, across the Platte Canyon Road to the West, in unincorporated Jefferson County. are some of the best places to live and not as expensive as this little village.
