I miss having a Dunkin' on every corner. Love the coffee. Nice to see it make its way to CO.

As Vegas points out, the thread should be titled DD is back.

They have good coffee, they have good breakfast snacks, and they'll probably do fine.

Anybody remember a donut shop in Longmont called Debbie Does Donuts?

Pardon me, make that Fort Collins.

Fort Collins, Longmont, what's the difference?

We even had a Dunkin Donuts down in Pueblo. Big whoop. It turned into an ok Mexican restaurant called Monica's. It's over by Big R. Who cares if Sunny's or Lamars or Albertsons makes the better donut?

You can't beat a freshly made French Cruller imo;

Now my Dunkin' Donuts story; We were finishing a flooring job at Niitek in Charlottesville Virginia and we would stop by the DD on the way in to work. It's 7am and we get our donuts and coffee, and as we're pulling away from the DD my wife calls me so I answer my cell phone and a 24 oz coffee no creme no sugar spills out right into my lap. I scream at the top of my lungs and my wife thinks we just got into an accident or I got shot. My friend had the decency to ask if I was ok, drove back into the DD and got me a free refill. I held that one very carefully on the way to work. I went to the nurses station and got some burn creme for my leg. Ouch. Drink responsibly.

DD is coming back. What's the huge deal?..DD was always looked at as the inferior Winchels when they were originally here. Somehow an updated add campaign ERASES history and suddenly makes DD cool and great. News Flash they vanished in Colorado for a reason. Give me Lamars(local) and better quality.I don't know about others but I can throw a rock in ANY direction and find a better place for coffee as well. FWI Denver used to have Jack N box and a handfull of other dying chains in need of the steroid PR shot that Dunkin has had here recently. Trader Joes..really? I say that as someone who had one within two blocks from my house in California. IT'S OK at BEST.

Nobody cares about the doughnuts, the coffee is their thing

News Flash. Get out more.

DD is a big deal down in the South and perhaps throughout the East Coast.

They have changed up their menu to add other breakfast items and their coffee can be purchased at your local grocery store, in case you haven't noticed.

I lived in California before there ever was a Trader Joes. Big whoop!

Jack n the Box in California had a bacon and egg or sausage and egg sandwich that was done on Chibatta bread and was/is fantastic. The ones in Colorado don't do that. Some things are just better in California. Too bad so sad.

I think what the deal is... is this; when places franchise, they lose their charm and their focus... and they just become the next McDonalds.

I don't even like donuts that much. I do like a good bagel though. We had two bagel places in Pueblo at one time. Mostly Bagels shut down and then Lots of Bagels shut down and was replaced by a Starbucks. I'm of the opinion that Starbucks tastes like ass. Friends don't let friends drink Starbucks. But that's just me. I went to a bagel place out in Charlottesville Virginia and when I picked out my bagel, I asked for it double-toasted. They said, "We don't have a toaster here." I was like.... Then I got my bagels and my coffee... started into eating this thing, and it was the best bagel ever. It was just freshly baked and it was so flipping good. It's like how pizza seems to taste better in the Bronx or Brooklyn or a couple of places on Manhattan Island... if they don't try too hard.

Waffle House's taste better in southern Georgia and northern Florida. IDK. Different strokes I guess.

Starbucks snobs killed DD in denva after the great Californian avocado famine brought them in. It also increased the acceptability of over priced stacked living.

Well, my friends and I LOVE the Donuts, (yes, our one true vice) not really the coffee, but it doesn't matter, if you didn't hear the details, DD is NOT coming to Denver, but in towns NORTH of I 70. Shattered dreams!
