No, it is not.
Stop watching TV "news". It is not good for your mental well being.

So you watched a video of one incident and think that Colorado's crime rate is up there with LA?

He thought Denver.
I might agree if he had said Aurora.

Kind of tame compared to a lot of other incidents, and not really too surprising considering the "gun culture" we live in.

The good news: nobody got hurt, and the suspects racked up enough charges, that they should be out of commission for quite some time. So Colorado is just a bit safer today with these Bonnie and Clyde wannabes behind bars.

The juvenile suspect is being held at the Mount View Youth Detention Facility on suspicion of attempted first-degree murder of a police officer, aggravated robbery, first-degree aggravated motor vehicle theft and attempted first-degree aggravated motor vehicle theft.

Sullivan faces possible charges of criminal attempted first-degree murder of a police officer, aggravated robbery, first-degree aggravated motor vehicle theft, criminal attempted first-degree aggravated motor vehicle theft, identity theft, theft and numerous warrants from previous crimes.

Yes crime in Denver is just as bad as LA. Stay in CA there's really nothing for you here other than crime and danger

There were only two televised car chase/jackings I saw so far this year in the Denver area. I don't get the feeling that the per-capita crime in Denver is any better or worse than in L.A. But there's only 3 million people here, so overall, less crime than metro L.A.

Violent crime rates (number of violent crimes per 100,000 citizens):

Denver: 616
Los Angeles: 481
Aurora: 425

(2012 FBI statistics)
