Sea level to 5000+ feet is a big jump (literally)!
Just bounce over to the Big Island and spend a little time on top of Mauna Kea. Denver will be a breeze.

I've found that a whole-house humidifier hooked up to the outflow from my furnace to be a big help. Forced air heat in the winter exacerbated by the fact that winter is the driest season here, can reduce the relative humidity to very low levels inside a house. My whole house humidifier really works - I've noticed a marked reduction in dry skin issues and static electricity since we've had one. You have to keep it in good repair, though. One winter we seemed to have regressed to pre-humidifier status. When I looked at the device in the spring, I realized that the water hoses were crimped and no moisture was getting into the air ducts.

I've eaten at the place in Aurora. I wasn't sure how authentic it was, but it seemed decent. It's not the "shrimp truck" though!

L&L sells spam musubi! Not sure about Aloha BBQ though.
