Having lived in NYC for 13+ years I have to call BS on that claim. Not even close.

Having never lived in Manhattan, I can still call BS on this claim.

They just said on 9 news that 900 to 1000 people are moving to Denver every day. (they didn't qualify it though... I'm assuming that's the entire metro area). And I'm guessing not that many people die in the metro area every day, so the population is rising.

It helps to have a state like Kansas nearby to add even more to the in-migration numbers!

That's wild! Are there actually enough jobs for all those newcomers?

For 3 days perhaps. Or a lot of people must be moving away. Denver's population is only rising by about 15k-20k per year. So on average, about 50 people net are moving to Denver everyday. If you also assume that for every 2 people moving to Denver, 1 leaves the county, that results in only 100 people moving to Denver per day. Even if you double the population increase which is riddiculously insane, it's only 200 per day.

Isn't stats wonderful?

I moved here for a job, at the time I didn't know Denver was a hip place to live. In fact, I assumed it would be a really boring place to live.

The bad parts of Denver:

Overpriced - I don't like paying West Cost prices to leave in a boring Midwestern City. This is the deal breaker for me.

The Weather - Denver does not have nice weather, it's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Just like 80% of the United States.

No Women - Next time you are anywhere in Denver (with the exception of a yoga class) count the number of men and the number of women.

The Traffic - It's not as bad as LA, that's not really saying much.

The Good Parts of Denver:

Job - I have a high paying job here.

People - The people are super friendly.

It may have been just as expensive, but I bet you the houses were at least 10x bigger in Denver if they were the same price
