Just so you guys know...

i tried a place called Smash Burger on Colorado/Mississippi last night with a couple buddies.

REAL good burgers. I've heard City Grille has the best burger in town (and they may) but Smash Burger has got to be up there in the top few. They do good, FRESH, big burgers any way you like them. And decent fries, reminded me of In N Out fries actually.

I think there's a couple other locations so give 'em a shot if you want a good burger and feel like trying something new!

Enjoy!

Slightly off topic since it won't help you today: I too would recommend Smashburger, but Five Guys is better. It's a Southeast / East chain of small busy storefronts that's got a "coming soon" location listed for Aurora @Promenade & South Parker. This would be their first location west of the Mississippi; it's good news for my palate but bad news for my cholesterol.

A chain, yes, but I'd have to nominate Fuddruckers.

We had Five Guys back in VA, superb burgers.

Ted's Montana Grill has great burgers, both beef and bison.

Jim's burger haven used to have the best in the Denver metro region, but i have not been there for a couple years, they have locations in Westminster and Thornton. There onion rings were also great as well, plus they were cheap.

I love Smash Burger! I work close to the CO Blvd location and will go there for a lunch once in awhile. I also love Old School burgers-VERY close (but not as good as) in-n out.

I want to check out Cherry Cricket sometime also.

I love Cherry Cricket also but not as healthy as the buffalo burger at Ted's Montana Grill. When I want to also boost my cholesterol level, I go for Hamburger Mary's at 17th Street and Washington. Thanks for the Smash Burger recommendation - I will have to try that!
