There are, but they are scarcer. I got hit on by quite a few guys in 4 years. I got hit on by a girl 1 time. The ladies were always friendly, but they already had boyfriends / husbands 90% of the time.
that's sad

It's even worse in San Francisco/San Diego though probably. Seattle too.

Denver is a medium size urban area in the middle of a square state. Things cant be different here than anywhere else.

Oh yes they absolutely can. Just between Denver, COS, and Pueblo there's a great variety of vibes. Denver doesn't have a Manitou Springs, COS doesn't have the Arkansas river valley farms, Pueblo doesn't have the Air Force Academy...

Eventually, it just takes a lot longer when there's fewer available options.

Thank god for that! especially during these times...

Denver is a great place to live and it is the opposite of NYC and LA culture, not as smug as SF or Seattle either... feels more inline with Minneapolis or Phoenix or Austin. People are generally not materialistic here and generally (not while driving) are very nice to each other.

Denver is a liberal sports town that feels like a college campus at times, people love to party and do activities, but educated as well.
People are different but extremely accepting of each other... in my 12 years here I have seen 0 racism (we are a diverse family).

There's little doubt Denver is primarily Midwest in attitude, but the square it's in has some of the more rugged landscapes in North America. That fosters and attracts a more rugged individualism and more recreational fitness than you'll find in any other square. There's a reason Colorado and Utah have the lowest obesity rates in the nation. The individualism also makes the public more willing to experiment with government, which Denver is the center of. Denver is one of the more progressive places not on the coasts, with its southern suburbs and the Springs being at the forefront of experimenting with corporate dystopia *cough* libertarian policy.

I'm okay with all types of people. Just not a big fan of frat boys/UFC guys (not the ones who actually train martial arts, but those rabid douchebag fans).

Also can you comment on the comments above? That there are a bunch of dudes compared to women?

Denver's male/female ratio is slightly skewed toward single males. It's not nearly as bad as people make it (e.g. Menver). If you've got a decent personality and aren't a narcissistic douchebag you'll be much better off. Being outdoorsy doesn't hurt, either.
