I can think of only 3 times I've been in the last year. If not for having young kids, we'd go skiing more. Wait, I just thought of a 4th. Well, I clicked on 1-2 times/year because we don't go enough to say every other month. Even though we don't go as much as I'd like, I LOVE seeing them every day while I walk or drive around.

We go every weekend in the summer. We've covered the whole state over the years. There's just so much beauty to see! In the winter probably once a month to ski. It's just so refreshing to get out of town and unwind. I don't understand why anyone would live in Denver and no go to experience the magnificance of this great state!

i go hiking in the foothills every once in a while. sometimes i go mountain biking. most of the time i don't feel like driving all the way out there, so i'll usually just hop on my bike and ride the numerous bike paths around the denver area.

Three or four times a year. Would like to get there a little more often, but job interferes. We always try to go up in the fall.

It looks like the poll votes so far run the gamut! 12 people said they go to the mountains once or more a month, 13 people said they go up less than once a month. In the past, I've gone to the mountains a lot in the summer; about once every week or two. But during the other times of the year I'm only in the mountains a handful of times. I try to go skiing at least once a year (at Loveland), but it's been hard being away the last four years-- whenever I could get a chance during winter break. My favorite spots are some of the foothills canyons (South Valley, Deer Creek Canyon, Waterton canyon are some of my favorites) and the Mt Evans/ Echo Lake/ Chicago Creek area. I also like Castlewood Canyon SP by Franktown; even though it's not in the mountains, it's kind of mountain-y. I love mountains and couldn't imagine living in a place with no mountain view. That said, I also love deserts, wide open valleys where you can see for miles into the horizon, and as I'm starting to discover even the plains can be beautiful too.

I'm a mountainman, probably 6 days in the week in the spring/summer/fall. Winters on the other hand probably only once a week. Different activities though.

I only get up there when work requires it, and so far that's been probably 3-4 times in the past year. We're thinking of taking up skiing next winter, however.

I dont get to go as often as I like, but given the chance, I'd LIVE in the mountains.
