Hello,

I was wondering what the traffic is like commuting from Broomfield into Aurora? My company has jobs in the Aurora area and I like the north western end of Denver along HWY 36.

I have heard that commuting into Aurora from the north is better than going thru downtown to the Tech Cneter along the I25. I don't mind some traffic. But I hate sitting in rush our traffic for hours. I hear I25 to DTC gets really bad.

Any folks commuting into Aurora from the North?

Thanks,

- Derek

My DD commuted from Louisville to Aurora for an internship for a few months. Traffic ranged from "OK" to "bad". Depended on the day. This was in the wintertime, too.

Thanks pittnurse70,

That commute doesn't sound too good. I wonder if it would improve greatly if leaving earlier than prime time. I've driven through downtown Denver on weekdays 'really' early when heading up to RMNP and traffic isn't bad.

But I would guess that most commuters have to think about this same thing - 'How early do I have to leave to avoid bad traffic.' Hmmm...

Or if it is too bad I may just need to readjust my preferences if I can't find work on the north side (Broomfield-Boulder). Parker, Littleton and Centennial seem like decent places on the south side of Denver. I really like being closer to RMNP and Boulder. But I do not want to deal with nightmare traffic every day.

rush hour starts at about 6:00 AM, and only gets worse from there. As long as there's no bad weather/construction/accidents, it would probably take about 45 min. to an hour.

I live in Louisville and work in Cherry Creek. I leave my house at 6:30 and it takes me about 35 min to get to work via Hwy 36 and I 25.

Well,

It sounds like people are having different experiences. Micktooth's commute doesn't sound too bad. Hmmm....

He's not driving to Aurora, either.

Yeah,

I guess Broomfield to Aurora is a pretty long way for a daily commute.

Thanks all for your input.
