April 2. I had to scrape my windsheild today and wore my heavy winter coat. My furnace is still running and I am still using my portable heater in the office. Seriously, this in the never ending winter!

The only good part is my allergies haven't started yet. But that just means they will last through May now.

It really needs to warm up! It's time to open up the house and enjoy some warm temps.

I'm glad I'm not the only one! I have been sick of this weather since January!

Des Moines has been mild compared to around here in Wisconsin. I was actually surprised that March was as cold as January. The average high temperature in Madison for last month was 33F, nearly the same as the 31F average in January. It will be mild next week with highs in the 50s, though.

Mild? No.

It was 19 when I left for work yesterday. And last week I drove to work in the snow.

I just want to wear short sleeves! I am tired of my long sleeved winter wardrobe.

Not me....it's in the mid 80's in Yuma...sunny, the birds are singing, the bass are biting, the wheat is already in the head stage...life is good....come see for yourself next winter.

Regards

It should be getting better! It had a feels like temp of 6F when I was going to class Monday which is terrible for April and March. But the highs look to be in the low 50s and mid 40s up here for the next 10 days, so I imagine it'll only be better down there!

I hope it does, because I want to go down there in a next weekend

Yeah, Monday here was just as bad. The actual temp was 19, not sure what the wind chill was but I was bundled up.

We are expected to get into the 50s today and near 60 tomorrow, so it is happening...just way too slow for my liking!

Worked in the yard today. A tad cool, but very nice. Short sleeves? I only wore a coat 5 or 6 times this winter...

I've got windows open today.

No way I'd go without a coat in single digit temps and snowing. That was a common occurrence on my way to work this winter. If its below 40 I'm still in my heavy coat and scarf.

I love cold weather rant threads, so let me join in being a resident of the arctic tundra in east central South Dakota where it's never, ever warm enough for me except in May through mid September. Don't go to the MN forum, they like winter more than summer there.
