Its true, but sad. I lost 15 lbs on Atkins last winter and sadly my face, took the brunt of it.
If you overweight over 40, stay that way, or face the "face"

Yes, that is Mother Nature not being kind to older women who have lost a large amount of weight. And since I know this does happen for a fact, I wonder about Kirsite Alley dropping 100 and not having it show on either her face or her arms, for that area, more so has the hanging skin that she seems not to have.
She probably just had some surgery.

People may not recall what you said to them, but they will always remember how you made them feel .
A guy I know lost about 60 lbs. Now he's horribly skinny and got a lot of wrinkles he didn't have before. Putting back about 10 lbs will make him look good again. I keep telling him this, but he won't listen. He just doesn't look good anymore. He did this number before some years ago and it didn't affect his face at the time, but now at 40 the situation is different...
In December of 2010 - nearly a year ago I had bariatric surgery of the type called Gastric By-Pass Roux-en-Y.
I weighed close to 220 pounds. Now a year later I weigh about 148. I stand 5'7 1/2" tall.
I underwent this procedure for my health, not my looks.
This is the direct result of my weight loss:
-- I had Type 2 Diabetes: was taken 2 dosages of Metformin 1000 mg per day, 1 dosage of Glucotrol per day and insulin (Lantus Solostar injection pen) also once a day.
For nearly a year now my diabetes is in complete remission and I take no - ZERO - diabetes medications. My endocrinologist is one of the tops in the nation (the Director of University of Pennsylvania Rodebaugh Diabetes Center) and has been monitoring the disappearance of my diabetes ... my "numbers" are normal.
-- I had High Blood Pressure. For hypertension I was taking Lisinipril and also Hydrochlorothiazide.
I now have normal blood pressure and am off all high blood pressure medications.
-- I had a very severe case of OSA - Obstructive Sleep Apnea ... my AHI was 105 (which means I stopped breathing 105 times per hour while asleep) ... I had to use a CPAP machine every time I went to sleep.
My Sleep Apnea has gone away. I sleep perfectly now and do not have to strap on a face mask attached to a CPAP machine.
Bottom line, I have a saggier face since my weight loss.
Maybe because I am a man and not terribly vain, I prefer to have good health over a cute but chubby face. What do you think?
Me, weighing nearly 220 pounds:
Here I am, just taken a few days ago (on Nov. 13,2011) ... less than 150 pounds and in much better health; but yes! I do look aged and haggard:
You look so much better with weight off Clark Park. Before you had two necks and that made you look older, not younger. You look like a nice looking middle aged man instead of a fat, creepy, middle aged man
I thought that it takes a year for the skin on the face to tighten up on its own after weight loss?
I personally think that excess weight can age a person as well.
