Can you get in a pilates class - that will tone you up and take a couple inches off fairly quicky if you add it in with your other workouts. I like to warm up on a treadmill or eliptical for ~15 minutes and then do the pilates. Everybody asks f I've lost weight, and really it the toning they're seeing.

if you want to loose weight fast start lifting heavy weights until you are exhausted every other day or every day. Also eat a lot of low fat and lean beef instead of fried foods. With lean beef you won't have to worry about gaining fat. It worked on me.

MJB.... I would not consider cutting all fat out of your diet, be careful on that. I did that years ago, and had near syncope. Just keep some in there.

In the last 2 weeks I lost 6 lbs, STRESS! I dont suggest that.

Now, I went vegan for a while and was walking, and I lost about 30 lbs within 2-3 mos.

I have lost about 45 lbs now, no longer vegan, well, sometimes, but I have stopped walking, with the time and weather change, but I am eating healthy, no fried foods, cut way back on the starches, etc, and why not send back the dress for your size.

Who cares about that chart. With your height and weight, I would say you are not obese in any way form or fashion. T h-e- double hockey sticks with that chart.

How in the world could your BMI be at 35%???

No offense SmerkyGrl, I'm not a troll, a fly by night poster, or some one-hit wonder spammer trying to increase business for self owned companies...but the main reason I didn't elaborate was because it would be against the TOS to advertise on anything that I was taking when I lost weight. That and.. when it comes to eating right and dieting, that's like opening up a can of worms. You can't say one thing without someone contradicting the other. It's not a can of worms I need or care to defend.

Those that were curious DM'ed me. Those that weren't, didn't. Look how nicely that worked! No need to get alll.... uhh, smerky.

Good luck on the weight loss MJ, let us know how it's going. (hugs)

Currently I'm only working out 3 days a week at the gym, alternating days with weights between upper body and lower body, and the treadmill ~ about 15 minutes.
As many people suggest, loosing 10+lbs based on your weight is not easy in the amount of time you want.

You need to burn much more calories. i.e. if you can only do 15 minutes of treadmill, I suggest you do 1 hours of fast walking outside everyday in addition. 15 minutes barely gets your heart rate up. If not, go to treadmill 2-3 times a day for 15-20 minutes each.

Reduce intake calories. As many suggest, 3 meals of oatmeal and protein only. Nothing else. Drink water not soda.

Dr. Pepper???

Your scale must be off. Either that or you went to the bathroom a lot between yesterday and today.

nope. Brand new techy scale with BF% Water%, BF Wt, and Bone Mass. I weighed myself 5 times in the span of an hour and the difference was plus or minus 0.1 lbs. Same with my wife. Weight is always consistent.

You cannot take my Dr Pepper from me!
