I am curious because where I live now, I see 20 year olds that look to be 270 lbs., yet they wear halter tops with everything showing- how strange -

I am just wondering what everyone else thinks- post what you would consider a problem weight. Thanks for any ideas....

depends on where you live, who your friends are, personally, Imho, if someone is gonna wear something revealing, id rather see tone, vs well something else, to each his/her own I guess. I will say the BMI is not accurate, so alot of people are classified as obese who arent, because they have muscle instead of fat.

We have those here too. I think they just forget to look in the mirror.

It all depends on your height and where you store the pounds.

I see a lot of fat children nowadays. Now how do kids get to be fat? They shouldn't be fat. They run around and have fast little metabolisms. it doesn't make sense. Shouldn't oughta be that way!

Overweight is always a problem. Your body has to work harder just to get around. It's bad on the heart. It's unhealthy.

When standing up and looking down at your naked body:
If you can't see the private parts located below your waist, you are fat.
If you can't see your feet you are obese.
And no using a mirror, as it does not count.

i went to high school with a girl who weighed close to 300. she would always wear very revealing (and by revealing i mean that you could see about 15 inches of cleavage) clothes, and to make it all worse is that they would have sayings like "hottie", which many people jokingly said referred to hot air balloon.

I think whether or not someone is over weight should be determined by their height. There is a healthy weight range for every height...155 lbs. may be overweight for someone who is 5'1", but just right for someone who is 5'8".
