The best product I've found that works for my Westie is Bio-Groom Super White Coat Brightening Shampoo and Pro White Grooming Powder. I've been using a variety of Bio-Groom products for years and love them.
Here's my Westie, White Ninja. He's a bit shaggy here, but still cute.
I have a bichon and live in Atlanta where Kramer loves to dig in Georgia red clay. not a good combination. he is only white after a trip to the groomer. any other time, I tell people I have one of those rare apricot bichons
My bf's maltipoo doesn't get too dirty. (Maybe because of the poodle "hair"?) Everyday dirt from walks and such seems to just dry and flake off. I think he bathes him about once a month. Here's a picture of him about mid-way between bath times.
Even when he gets green paws after the lawn is mowed, it dissipates on its own after a couple of days.
My parti white and cream Poms coat stays relatively clean. Only bathe him about once a month with a whitening shampoo. He doesn't get food stains around his mouth. I am surprised by how clean his paws stay. He gets a lot of things stuck in his ruff (even water slopping on it messes it up)...which requires a pretty constant brushing out.
Wow. Guess I'm lucky. Connor is glowing white and stays that way. He has no desire at all to be in dirt. Doesn't even like walking on the sidewalk. He's even got paths through the yard where the finest, softest grass grows that he walks on.

Between you and I, I think he's a bit of a girl.
I wouldn't call that lucky! I love the fact that PC loves to play and run and swim, I just wish I could keep up with the cleaning of him! As Skeet09 mentioned, it's a badge of honor. PC is living his life to the fullest and enjoying every minute of it!

Well, it's lucky in my case. I've got 31 other dogs that think fun is rolling in goat poo. Believe me, he doesn't even begin to make up for the messes they make! He's much happier in his room playing catch with tennis balls. Thrills me to no end!
Isn't there a product you can buy to prevent the "tea stains" they get on their white fur from their saliva? My Springer has those on her front legs and under her chin.
I have a Westie and as you know they are all white. It is futile to try to keep white dogs white for very long. I have learned to not bathe her the same day I am going to mow the yard. Ever see a green dog? It aint pretty. I also have tried the whitening shampoos and she looks beautiful for about 5 minutes. I agree with the other posters there is not much you can do just bathe him often.
hahhahahahahaaa..... thanks for the chuckle.....

She sure does clean up nice, though. All white and yellow with that soft fur. Doesn't stay that way for long.
you just described bailey and dave too....... well, except for the yellow and white part......

No, there isn't. The only thing they sell for this is Angel Eyes, which is an antibiotic. You shouldn't give your dog antibiotics for no medical reason. Some people claim that distilled water helps and they give their dogs that instead of regular water.
