We have a new addition to our house. The dog in front is our 7 1/2 month old Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Kodi. In the back in our new almost 2 year old Chessie girl, Tessa. Tessa came to us after she was stuffed with food and ignored for almost 2 years. Recently, when she growled at a kid that was pulling her tail, she was promptly given back to her breeder. She is shy, confused and about 10 lbs overweight. She is also very sweet and is trying really hard to believe that she is finally with people that care about her.
The rest of our dogs have at least accepted her. As for Kodi...he is in love!
This coming week (after Kodi gets his stitches out from being neutered) we are going to introduce Tessa to the water. I bet the weight comes off pretty fast!
Congratulations on Tessa . I am sure you and your gang can whip her into shape and those extra pounds will be a thing of the past before you even know it, As for Kodi he really is looking handsome.

Is there a bed big enough so that, when I come visit, all four of your dogs can sleep with me? I'm not sure of the configuration yet -- I'd really want Tessa, Kodi, Kohla, and Sammie all around me -- so maybe a round bed would be best. Anyway, I'll figure it out and procure the bed before my arrival.
