My dog just did numerous test today. X rays ( shows mass) ultrasound ,blood test and liver spleen lymph cytology(3 cytology pending ). A lot of her internal organs are enlarged. It ( cancer, vet made pure liver infection unlikely even though there is a chance) probably started in liver and spreaded to spleen and lump. Got $1500 bill already for regular vet and Hspl specialist visits today (oncologist not avaiable and test result not ready) and chemo hasn't even started.
Specialist said she'd probably go with chemo bz it spreaded already. If do camp can live1-2 more years. Is it true?
I wanna ask if it's worth the time and $? Will the dog be miserable. (My father didn't even survive the first round chemo. My coworkers dog died the next day after surgery).
Is it true that cancer cell spread to many organs and u need cytology on each and every organ? I did 3 today.
It's a tough question to answer as you well know because you are asking for help. If I were in your shoes, I'd talk to another vet to get a second opinion. Explain to the vet what you are expecting out of the treatment and ask him or her if that's what they think is the most likely outcome. The vet won't tell you what to do, but if you get more information from someone who isn't going to be part of the treatment plan, I think you will get a good, balanced opinion to help you make a decision on what to do.
I'm sorry about the news, I hope you and your pup do well. And whatever you decide, know that you will have second guesses now and then, but the the truth will be you thought it through and made the best decision.
So sorry to hear about your dog. You are the one that unfortunately has to make the decision. I do not think I would put my dog through chemo. I doubt the vet can guarantee you a few more years and since the dog can't tell you how it is feeling I would not do it.
I had to put my sweet lab to sleep several years ago and it still breaks my heart but I know I did the right thing. She too had several issues and I could not see putting her through treatment - not to mention the cost.

No! If your dog is in obvious distress get her to the vet NOW! Do not give any type of aspirin, it is contraindicated for many medical issues.
The vet should prescribe any medications from here on out, and whatever you decide to do I would just add that you have the option to make sure your dog is not in pain, do not fail her that.
If you had cancer that was painful, would you be ok with someone offering you aspirin, until you heard back from a doctor?
Read about aspirin, and any other pain medication for dogs. It should be there on an easy internet search. If you give it to her, you may not be able to give her canine pain meds for a few days.
Don't take advice from a forum, from people you don't know when you have a dog with possible multi system cancer. Get involved, get to a vet that will answer ever.single.question you have. Do not leave until you are satisfied that you can keep your dog pain free, if not alive.
Write a list of your questions, and take it to your vet. Or go to another vet, but time is of the essence if you have a dog in pain. Don't mess around with the weekend coming up.
There is a book called speaking for spot, I would recommend you get it asap - you may have to order it, but it is inexpensive, so I would order it to ship overnight. You need to learn to speak for your dog. Good Luck
You (and hopefully your vet) know your dog best. Get a very complete picture of all the pros and cons - ask questions if you don't understand something.

As someone who has adopted and bid farewell to 11 senior dogs in as many years I can tell you that no matter how long you have with them it still is hard to let them go. Back in 2003 I had a 12.5 year old golden with cancer and chose not to go to extraordinary lengths on the chance that I might get a few more months or so with him. It did help that he was not any only dog, there were two others at home who had also been with me from puppyhood. On the way home from the vet I realized that if Dr. D. had a magic pill that would have given me another 12.5 with that sweet boy that when it was finally time it would still hurt just as much and maybe even more.
Make your decision with only the well being and quality of life of the dog in mind, not how much it will hurt you to lose him.
It is our responsibility as pet owners to make their lives as comfortable as possible. Reading between the lines of your post I am guessing that any extension of her life, even if the chemo works, would only be to your benefit and not so much hers. The chemo at this stage will probably take several weeks, during which she won't feel that great, and at the end of that time she will probably still have at least a few cancer cells that will eventually start growing again. Saying good bye is so hard but it is inevitable at some point, so why not look closely at the option of doing so before she starts going quickly downhill. At least now she recognizes you and knows you love her.
Lymphoma is confirmed mid to late stage. Two other cytology tests are still pending. I don't think chemotherapy is a good option at all now. I feel like my dog aged 10 years overnight because of the all the medicines that she's given. her Eye is red and eyelids dropped, which I have never seen before .The question now is should I extend her life?
